Cook Fire to implement ZX5Se-based LI category system - builds on earlier successful installation.

Leighs Paints, the UK's leading independent manufacturer of high performance industrial coatings, has signed a contract for Morley-IAS distributor partner, Cook Fire, to install a ZX5Se system across the whole of its manufacturing site in Bolton, Lancs.
The fully-networked solution will incorporate two ZX5Se fire alarm control panels, as part of an L1 category installation which includes several intrinsically safe areas within the main production environment. In fully meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act, the addressable Morley-IAS system also includes both audible and visible indicators.

Leighs Paints' decision follows the successful installation of Morley-IAS equipment in part of the Bolton site and implementation will get underway in early 2010. "Morley -IAS equipment has been deployed in many similar manufacturing environments," says Cook Fire's John Shaw, "as it provides the ideal combination of robustness and flexibility which is ideally suited to tough and high risk production arenas."

"Leighs Paints has its 150 year anniversary this year and in that time we have built an unrivalled customer reputation for going the extra mile, in combining superior products with excellent service support," says plant engineering team manager, Leighs Paints, Andrew Gardner. "Both Morley-IAS and Cook Fire have shown a similar high-level commitment to quality, in developing a flexible fire safety solution which meets our demanding requirements."
